Untitled (oil pastel). Berkeley High student Kyra Baldwin’s “Untitled” oil pastel is the winner of The Monthly’s Seventh Annual Student Cover Contest. Baldwin’s piece captures the seeming detachment of a boy in her freshman art class. Monthly publisher Karen Klaber will present awards to the three top and honorable-mention winners on Sunday, October 7, 6 p.m. at Blick Art Materials, 811 University Ave. in Berkeley.
