Rooster (Pen and ink / digital). Michael Schwab is a talented graphic artist who works out of a Marin County studio. His forte is creating award-winning logos and posters, striking in their simplicity. Schwab employs an easily recognized style denoted by his signature use of large, flat areas of color, dramatic perspectives, and bold, graphic portraits often communicating a message of ecological and historic preservation. He has worked for a remarkable list of prestigious clients, including San Francisco Opera, Peet’s Coffee, Pebble Beach, Amtrak, Major League Baseball, Robert Redford, Turner Classic Movies, and the National Parks Service. He attended school in Texas, New York, and California and taps into those locales for a broad array of visual, cultural, and geographic references.
