Redwood Path (original acrylic painting, 30 x 24 inches, sold; reproduced in mixed-media giclée on canvas, painted over in acrylic, size 14 x 11 inches, available) Artist Juan S. Archuleta found inspiration for the cover image from the paths at Muir Woods National Monument, a spot he began visiting and painting in the mid-1970s. “It has been a major source of inspiration for me during that time to the present. In the course of life’s episodes, this place has always helped me find perspective,” said Archuleta, a professional fine arts painter whose work has been represented by many galleries on the Pacific coast, including Studio 7 Gallery of Pleasanton. Gallery Americana of Carmel represented his work internationally from 1982 to 1993; his current international representative is Simic New Renaissance Galleries, which took on representation in 1993. See a full complement of Archuleta’s work June 24-26 at the Montclair Fine Arts Sidewalk Festival in Montclair in Oakland; it is one of three or four festivals Archuleta shows at annually. Visit www.ArtAtArchuleta.com and www.ArtByArchuleta.com to see his paintings. The artist is represented by the Pacific Fine Arts Festivals (www.pacificfinearts.com) in associations with merchants.
