Mauve Still #17 (oil, alkyd, wax on canvas). The paintings of Emeryville artist Teresa Kalnoskas speak to the essence of objects: their forms, relationships, and presence in space. Her work—both still life and landscape—is inspired by the objects a person might own or encounter, objects that seem to embody a life of their own. Exhibited nationally, Kalnoskas’s paintings have made their way into many private and corporate collections. Kalnoskas is represented by Sense Fine Art in Menlo Park and Julie Nester Gallery in Park City, Utah. She is one of 91 artists featured in the 25th Annual Emeryville Art Exhibition, Oct. 1-23, at Hollis Business Park, 1480 64th St., Suite 125. For info: (510) 652-6122 or emeryarts.org.
