Leaving Me Speechless (digital collage). Catrin Welz-Stein, who lives in a small town in Switzerland, studied graphic design in Darmstadt, Germany, and worked as a graphic designer for various advertising agencies in Germany, Switzerland, and the United States. In her spare time, she began experimenting with mixed media, collages, and paintings on canvas, eventually creating digital images from collaging old illustrations and photographs. At the same time she entered that world of digital art—where she found passion for surrealism—she discovered online social media networks where her work was viewed, resulting in positive responses that motivated her continued exploration.
