Haunted Breakfast is a drawing-based digital work by Susan Sanford. Sanford is an artist who likes to recombine ideas and objects in unexpected ways. Sometimes she can be spotted near Grand Avenue enhancing her neighbors’ yards, or the shores of Lake Merritt, with impromptu art installations. In the past, she has made and shown assemblages and embroidered photographs in and around the East Bay and Marin. “Moving through the urban environment is a constant avenue to inspiration, as are the free-associative musical stylings of the Kiwi band, The Phoenix Foundation,” the artist says. “Wonders are everywhere.” Currently you can find her playful visual narratives in recombinant visual DNA form—both wearable and suitable for hanging—online at print-on-demand site Redbubble.com.
